I chose this image because of my love for hockey. I find beauty in not only the fluidity of the motions of skaters moving at 30+ MPH but in the shapes created when a hit occurs, or a puck is shot, or a goal is scored etc.. It's amazing to me when such a fast game can be slowed down to a fraction of a second and when it is, often times out comes a beautiful shape. Though I do not know who did this particular work I admire the anticipation it must take in order to get good pictures of such a fast paced, constantly changing game. I draw inspiration for my future from this in several ways. If I could do anything, I would photograph hockey for the rest of my life. If that doesn't work out, I still draw inspiration from the shapes and colors that occur within hockey photography, and would love to do graphic design or some sort of advertising for an NHL team.
